About Us

About Spectrum Birth Services

At Spectrum Birth, we use the term R.A.N.E.S. to describe what we do for you:

Reassure
Advocate
Normalize
Encourage
Support

We do all of these things for you, your partner, and your baby so that you have the most positive experience when expanding your family—whatever that may look like. In fact, Spectrum Birth is committed to creating unique programs that not only benefit traditional families, but have in mind the specific structures and challenges facing families of other designations, including: LGBTQ, adoptive/surrogate, and other non-traditional family systems.

Spectrum Birth Services brings more than half a century of experience to the task of supporting you through a wide variety of services. When developing offerings or working with clients, the following guiding principles are continuously top of mind and part of what sets us apart:

  • All parents deserve respectful care and support without prejudice.
  • All parents and families have the right to make informed, evidence-based choices for their birth and parenting experiences.  We help families find appropriate information for the answers they seek.
  • We believe in respectful and collaborative health care with a client’s elected care providers and institutions.
  • Our educational and support services fully prepare families for normal circumstances of the birth journey and parenting experience, and empower them to withstand extraordinary challenges.
